Daniel Haas
Executive Director
Dan Haas has lived, worked, and served in Aurora, Illinois for over 60 years. For 30 years he was Pastor of Aurora Community Church. In 1979 he was a co-founder of Covenant Christian School, an elementary school serving students pre-school through 8th grade. With Father David Engbarth, Dan Haas was co-founder of The Prayer Coalition for Reconciliation, an organization that has worked to reduce violence in Aurora for 20 years. Dan has served on the board of directors for Aurora Cares Corporation, Wayside Cross Ministries, Pregnancy Information Center, the Aurora Rotary Club, Aurora Community Church, and Covenant Christian School. Currently, Dan is serving as a Chaplain for the Aurora Police Department. Dan and his wife, Gayle, celebrate over 40 years of marriage together. They have two married daughters and two grandsons. Dan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement from Western Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Theology from Wheaton Graduate School.
